Dear Ms. Shonk-Simmons

Coldwater Creek has been a leader in several environmental ways. So we hope you can provide us some useful information.

In a recent catalogue of yours we were interested to note that you are offering wreaths of beargrass (Xerophyllum tenax) and pearly everlasting flowers (Anaphalis margaritacea). (copy attached)

We are aware that these plants grow in fragile, wild environments. We are studying sustainable methods of wildland commercial harvesting and hope to learn from your methods.

What process is used in procuring your beargrass and pearly everlasting?  More specifically, we wonder where you obtain these materials, the quantities you use, what methods are employed in the foraging and what is known of the impacts on the plants and plant populations.

Thank you very much for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

Molly O'Reilly
