The Kinnikinnick Chapter, through its members and committees undertakes a number of activities and programs that include:

• Informative Monthly Meetings featuring expert speakers and interesting topics related to native plants and their habitats.
  

• Field Trips to view native plants in their natural habitat.
  

• The operation and maintenance of the North Idaho Native Plant Arboretum at Sandpoint's Lakeview Park.
  

• Publication of the Kinnikinnick Journal, the Chapter's newsletter that highlights events, programs and activities.
  

• A public celebration of Arbor Day with tours and educational programs at the Arboretum in April of each year.
  

• The promotion and preservation of native plants in their north Idaho habitat.
  

• Promoting and exploring the use of native plants in urban and rural landscaping.
  

• Active support for and participation in Noxious Weed Awareness Day in Bonner County.
